Haydom Lutheran Hospital

Haydom Lutheran Hospital (HLH) is a prominent 400-bed non-profit referral hospital located in the Manyara Region of northern Tanzania. Established in 1955 by the Norwegian Lutheran Mission, it serves a vast rural catchment area of over 2 million people, providing essential surgical, medical, and reproductive health services. The institution is internationally recognized for its significant contributions to global health research, particularly through the "Safer Births" initiative focused on neonatal resuscitation and maternal survival.
