Company intelligence / Profile preview
Headsafe has developed the Nurochek system—a portable EEG-based medical device that provides an objective concussion assessment within two minutes. The system uses a patented machine learning algorithm to classify brain responses to visual stimuli. It received FDA clearance as an aid to diagnose mild traumatic brain injury (concussion) for patients aged between 16 and 46 years old. Over eight clinical trials have been conducted with more than a thousand subjects. The company’s initial focus is on the US healthcare market with plans for global expansion. Early results show high accuracy and usability; broader neurological applications are under investigation.
