Health Consumer Powerhouse (HCP) is a Swedish healthcare analysis organization and think tank that specialized in benchmarking healthcare system performance across Europe. The company is most recognized for its annual Euro Health Consumer Index (EHCI), which evaluated national healthcare systems from a consumer perspective, focusing on patient rights, information, accessibility, and clinical outcomes. HCP's mission was to empower patients and provide data-driven insights to policymakers to drive improvements in healthcare quality and efficiency. Although highly influential in European health policy circles for over a decade, the organization has been largely inactive since the publication of its last major index in 2018.
