Health Innovation North East and North Cumbria

Health Innovation North East and North Cumbria (HI NENC) is the regional Academic Health Science Network and innovation arm of the NHS, established to identify, evaluate, adopt, and disseminate healthcare innovation in the North East and North Cumbria. It supports all forms of health and care innovation, focusing on improving health outcomes, enhancing patient safety, increasing NHS efficiency, and driving economic growth by supporting regional life science innovation and partnerships with industry, academia, and healthcare sectors. It does not develop drug assets or conduct interventional clinical trials itself, but fosters innovations and guides them through their lifecycle for adoption across the NHS.
