Health Plan Alliance is a U.S.-based for-profit healthcare organization that brings together provider-sponsored and independent health plans to collaborate on strategy, operations, clinical performance, and market competitiveness. Founded in 1996 and originally incorporated as HMO Alliance, the organization now serves nearly 50 health plan-related organizations and is owned by nearly 30 provider-sponsored health plans. Its offerings center on executive forums, peer networking, benchmarking, webinars, strategic support, group purchasing, and an online member platform that provides access to resources, event information, and curated connections. Rather than developing drugs or therapeutics, Health Plan Alliance functions as a collaborative services and knowledge-sharing network for community-based health plans and their leadership teams.
