Health Resources in Action

Health Resources in Action is a U.S. nonprofit public health institute and consulting organization focused on improving health equity, community health, and public health systems. The organization provides assessment and planning, capacity building, evaluation, policy and systems change support, information and referral services, and grantmaking administration for government agencies, hospitals, foundations, and community partners. Through its The Medical Foundation arm, HRiA also manages biomedical research funding programs and research-related philanthropic initiatives. Its work spans prevention, health promotion, racial equity, behavioral health, substance use, maternal health, and other community health priorities. HRiA is not a drug-development biotech or pharma company; it is an operating public health and grantmaking organization with national reach and roots in Boston.
