Company intelligence / Profile preview
Healthagen was a healthcare technology and services company best known as the developer of the iTriage mobile health application and, later, as the brand Aetna used for a portfolio of population health management and health information technology businesses. The company focused on consumer engagement, care management, price transparency, health information exchange, and payer-provider collaboration rather than on therapeutic drug development. After Aetna acquired the original Healthagen/iTriage business in 2011, Aetna expanded the Healthagen name in 2013 into a broader division that included assets such as ActiveHealth Management and Medicity. In later years, the Healthagen name was also used within the Aetna/CVS ecosystem for life sciences analytics, real-world evidence, and advisory offerings. For biotech analysts, Healthagen is best understood as a healthcare data, digital health, and services business rather than a biotech or pharma pipeline company.
