Healthcare Plastics Recycling Council

The Healthcare Plastics Recycling Council (HPRC) is a private technical coalition of industry-leading companies from the healthcare, recycling, and waste management sectors. Established in 2010, the council focuses on identifying and addressing barriers to the recycling of healthcare plastics throughout the product life cycle. HPRC works across the value chain to develop resources, such as design guidelines and recycling playbooks, aimed at increasing the sustainability of medical products and packaging. Its mission is to inspire and enable the healthcare industry to implement more sustainable plastic waste management practices and promote a circular economy.
