Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership

The Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership (HQIP) is an independent organization in the United Kingdom dedicated to improving health outcomes by enabling and promoting quality improvement. Established in 2008, it is co-hosted by a consortium of the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges, the Royal College of Nursing, and National Voices. HQIP's primary role is to manage and commission the National Clinical Audit and Patient Outcomes Programme (NCAPOP) on behalf of NHS England and other devolved administrations. The organization provides guidance, resources, and training to healthcare professionals to ensure clinical audits lead to measurable improvements in patient care. Through its work, HQIP aims to ensure that healthcare data is used effectively to drive excellence across the health and social care sectors. It also hosts the National Joint Registry and supports various quality improvement initiatives across the NHS.
