Northwest Renal Network, also known as ESRD Network 16, is a healthcare quality improvement organization dedicated to enhancing the care of patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD). Operating under a federal contract with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the organization serves the states of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington. Its core activities include monitoring the quality of care provided by dialysis and transplant facilities, processing patient grievances, and implementing quality improvement projects. Originally managed by HealthInsight, the network became part of Comagine Health following the 2018 merger between HealthInsight and Qualis Health. The organization plays a critical role in ensuring that ESRD patients receive high-quality, safe, and effective care within the Pacific Northwest.
