Healthy Children Project

Healthy Children Project, Inc. is a non-profit research and educational institution focused on maternal and child health, specifically the promotion and support of breastfeeding. Founded in 1993, the organization is the largest provider of lactation management education in the United States through its Center for Breastfeeding. It offers the Lactation Counselor Training Program, which leads to the Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) credential. In addition to education, the project conducts clinical research and advocates for evidence-based practices in hospitals and community health settings. Their work supports the implementation of the Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative and other public health goals related to infant nutrition.
