Healthy State Alliance

Healthy State Alliance is a strategic partnership between The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Bon Secours Mercy Health, two of Ohio's largest healthcare providers. Launched in 2018, the alliance aims to improve the health of communities across Ohio by expanding access to highly specialized care and addressing critical health issues like the opioid epidemic. The collaboration integrates the academic and research capabilities of Ohio State with the extensive community-based network of Bon Secours Mercy Health. Key clinical focus areas include organ transplantation, cancer care through the OSUCCC – James, and behavioral health. By leveraging combined resources, the alliance operates over 20 hospitals and hundreds of care sites to deliver coordinated, cost-effective healthcare services.
