Hedley Technologies

Hedley Technologies was a Canadian life sciences company that focused on the development and commercialization of non-toxic, natural pest control products for the agricultural sector. The company's flagship product, Protect-It, was a proprietary insecticide made from diatomaceous earth and silica, designed to protect stored grains from insect infestation. Unlike traditional chemical pesticides, Hedley's technology worked through physical action, dehydrating insects without leaving harmful chemical residues on food products. This approach positioned the company as a key player in the organic and sustainable agriculture markets. Hedley Technologies was publicly traded on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol HEY. In 2008, the company was acquired by AgraQuest, which was subsequently acquired by Bayer CropScience in 2012.
