Helse Nord, or the Northern Norway Regional Health Authority, is a state-owned enterprise responsible for providing public specialist healthcare services to the population of Northern Norway and Svalbard. Headquartered in Bodø, it oversees several hospital trusts, including the University Hospital of North Norway (UNN), Nordland Hospital Trust, and Finnmark Hospital Trust. The organization manages a wide range of medical services, including emergency care, specialized surgery, mental health, and substance abuse treatment. Helse Nord also plays a significant role in medical research and education in collaboration with the UiT The Arctic University of Norway.
