Company intelligence / Profile preview
Hemasoft was a healthcare IT company focused on software for transfusion medicine and related laboratory operations rather than a drug-development biotech. Its products were used by blood donor centers, transfusion services, hospital blood banks, tissue banks, cord blood banks, cell therapy laboratories, clinical laboratories, anatomic pathology laboratories, and human milk banks. The company’s flagship platform, e-Delphyn, provided end-to-end blood establishment and traceability software, including FDA-cleared blood establishment computer software functionality in the U.S. Hemasoft operated internationally with roots in Spain and a U.S. subsidiary, serving customers across more than 50 countries. In January 2021, GPI completed the acquisition of the remaining shares of Hemasoft Software S.L., after which the business was integrated into GPI’s blood-management software operations and rebranded in some markets as GPI USA or GPI Iberia.
