Henry H. Ottens Manufacturing

Ottens Flavors, officially Henry H. Ottens Manufacturing Co., Inc., was a developer and manufacturer of flavor systems for the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries. Founded in 1884 and headquartered in Philadelphia, the company specialized in creating custom flavor profiles and advanced masking technologies designed to improve the palatability of consumer products and oral medications. The company was particularly recognized for its expertise in flavor research and sensory analysis, serving a diverse global client base. In May 2015, Ottens Flavors was acquired by International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF) to strengthen IFF's market share and technical capabilities in North America. Following the acquisition, Ottens' operations were integrated into IFF's global business structure.
