Company intelligence / Profile preview
Hilleman Laboratories is a Singapore-based vaccine and biologics research and development organization focused on affordable products for infectious diseases that disproportionately affect low- and middle-income countries. Established in 2009 by MSD and Wellcome Trust, it develops candidates from concept through early clinical proof-of-concept and then partners for late-stage development, licensure, and commercialization. Its flagship program, HillChol, is an oral cholera vaccine that advanced through Phase II at Hilleman and has completed Phase III under partner Bharat Biotech. The organization also works on next-generation Ebola, Nipah, meningococcal, Q fever, and other infectious-disease programs, supported by an R&D center in Biopolis and the ACES pilot cGMP manufacturing facility in Singapore. Hilleman positions itself as a global-health-focused translational hub combining vaccine research, formulation, process development, technology transfer, and clinical-trial material supply.
