Hisun-Pfizer Pharmaceuticals (HPP) is a major pharmaceutical company in China, originally established in 2012 as a joint venture between Zhejiang Hisun Pharmaceutical and Pfizer. The company focuses on the development, manufacturing, and commercialization of high-quality branded generic medicines across various therapeutic areas, including cardiovascular health, anti-infectives, oncology, and immunosuppression. In 2017, Pfizer sold its 49% stake in the venture to Sapphire I Holdings (an affiliate of Hillhouse Capital), leading to a transition where the company operates as a standalone entity while maintaining rights to certain Pfizer products in China. HPP leverages a robust manufacturing infrastructure and an extensive sales network to provide affordable, high-standard healthcare solutions to the Chinese market.
