HITCare

HITCare, formally Health Information Technology Care, was a U.S. healthcare-focused managed IT and consulting company serving non-profit human services organizations, community health centers, public hospitals, rural health clinics, and medical practices. The company provided managed IT services, clinical EMR/EHR support, cybersecurity, cloud and hosting services, helpdesk support, infrastructure, backup and disaster recovery, and workflow consulting rather than developing therapeutics. Founded in 2008 and based in Petaluma, California, HITCare positioned itself as a specialist technology partner for community-based healthcare organizations. In May 2021, HITCare was acquired by Medicus IT, after which it appears to have been absorbed into the acquirer rather than continuing as a standalone operating biotech or pharma company.
