HJFMRI-KEMRI

HJFMRI-KEMRI is a strategic research partnership between the Henry M. Jackson Foundation Medical Research International and the Kenya Medical Research Institute. The collaboration focuses on conducting high-impact clinical research and surveillance on infectious diseases such as HIV, malaria, and emerging pathogens. Operating primarily in Western Kenya, the program supports the U.S. Military HIV Research Program and the U.S. Army Medical Research Directorate-Africa. It provides essential infrastructure for vaccine development, clinical trials, and public health strengthening in the region. The entity is also a key implementer of PEPFAR-funded HIV prevention, care, and treatment services.
