Hoba Therapeutics

Hoba Therapeutics develops novel biopharmaceuticals targeting chronic neuropathic pain and sensorineural hearing loss. Their lead candidate HB‑086 targets the peripheral nervous system with a non-opioid mechanism to reverse neuropathic pain; it will enter Phase 1 clinical trials for CIPN. The second program, HB‑097, aims to prevent or reverse ototoxic sensorineural hearing loss by protecting or regenerating nerve cells. Both programs are based on proprietary neurotrophic protein technology derived from endogenous human proteins meteorin and cometin. The company recently raised €23 million in Series A funding to advance these candidates toward clinical development.
