Company intelligence / Profile preview
Hoechst Holland was the Dutch subsidiary of the German pharmaceutical and chemical conglomerate Hoechst AG. The company maintained a significant industrial presence in the Netherlands, most notably through its large-scale manufacturing site in Vlissingen and its administrative headquarters in Amsterdam. It was primarily involved in the production and marketing of a broad range of healthcare products, including insulin, cardiovascular medications, and anti-infectives, alongside industrial chemicals and crop science solutions. Following the 1999 merger of Hoechst AG with Rhône-Poulenc to form Aventis, Hoechst Holland's operations were integrated into the new entity. Today, its legacy and assets are part of the global biopharmaceutical company Sanofi.
