Holmes Biopharma Inc. was a biotechnology and contract research organization (CRO) based in Scottsdale, Arizona, that was primarily active during the mid-to-late 2000s. The company specialized in providing clinical research services, particularly Phase I clinical trials, through its Omaha-based subsidiary, Qualia Clinical Services, which it acquired in 2007. While the company claimed to be developing its own proprietary pipeline of new drugs and drug delivery technologies, its primary business model revolved around contracting with large pharmaceutical and generic drug manufacturers to manage research expenses and accelerate development timelines. Holmes Biopharma was publicly traded on the OTC Bulletin Board under the symbol HLMB but became inactive and eventually defunct around 2012.
