HonorBridge

HonorBridge, formerly known as Carolina Donor Services, is a federally designated nonprofit organ procurement organization serving most of North Carolina and part of Virginia. The organization coordinates the recovery of donated organs, eyes, and tissues from deceased donors for transplantation and other life-enhancing medical uses, and it also provides public education, donor registration outreach, and support for donor families. It partners with hospitals, transplant centers, funeral professionals, and community organizations to manage the donation process across its service area. Unlike a drug-development biotech or pharma company, HonorBridge operates as a healthcare services organization focused on donation logistics, clinical recovery operations, and transplant system support. The organization has also adopted technologies such as organ tracking and has participated in innovation initiatives aimed at increasing organ utilization.
