Company intelligence / Profile preview
The Hospital of Saint Raphael was a 511-bed non-profit community teaching hospital located in New Haven, Connecticut. Founded in 1907 by the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth, it served as a major healthcare provider in the region for over a century. In September 2012, the hospital was acquired by Yale New Haven Hospital to form a single integrated institution. Today, the facility operates as the Saint Raphael Campus of Yale New Haven Hospital, continuing to provide a wide range of medical services including oncology, cardiology, and orthopedic care. The merger was one of the largest hospital consolidations in Connecticut's history and was designed to stabilize the hospital's finances while expanding clinical services.
