Company intelligence / Profile preview
Houston Headache Clinic was a pioneering medical practice and clinical research center specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of headache disorders. Founded in 1976 by Dr. Ninan T. Mathew, it was the first dedicated headache center in Texas and gained international recognition for its contributions to headache medicine. The clinic was a prolific site for clinical trials, participating in over 100 studies for major pharmaceutical companies and playing a key role in the development of modern migraine treatments such as triptans. It offered a multidisciplinary approach, integrating neurology, behavioral medicine, and biofeedback to manage complex headache cases. Although the clinic is no longer active following the passing of its founder, its research legacy continues to influence the field of neurology.
