Hudson Executive Investment

Hudson Executive Investment was a special purpose acquisition company sponsored by Hudson Executive Capital LP and formed to complete a business combination with one or more operating businesses. Its stated search focus included sectors such as financial technology and healthcare, but it was not itself a drug developer, biotech company, or healthcare operating company. In 2021, Hudson Executive Investment completed its merger with Talkspace, after which the combined public company operated as Talkspace. As a result, Hudson Executive Investment no longer exists as an independent active operating company. For biotech and life sciences diligence purposes, it should be classified as a SPAC rather than a healthcare, pharma, or biotech company.
