Company intelligence / Profile preview
Huntington Life Sciences (HLS) was a prominent contract research organization (CRO) providing non-clinical and clinical testing services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and chemical industries. Founded in the United Kingdom, the company specialized in toxicology, safety assessment, and environmental sciences, operating major facilities in both the UK and the United States. HLS became globally recognized, and at times controversial, as one of the largest providers of animal testing services for drug development. In 2015, the company merged with Harlan Laboratories to form Envigo, which was subsequently acquired by Inotiv in 2021.
