Company intelligence / Profile preview
Hyrex, Inc., formerly known as Hyrex Pharmaceuticals, was a specialty pharmaceutical company based in Memphis, Tennessee, that focused on the development and commercialization of injectable and respiratory medications. The company was well-regarded for its portfolio of niche pharmaceutical products, including treatments for cough, cold, and pain management. In 1998, Hyrex was acquired by King Pharmaceuticals, which sought to integrate Hyrex's manufacturing capabilities and product line into its own specialty pharma business. Following the acquisition, Hyrex's operations were absorbed, and King Pharmaceuticals was subsequently acquired by Pfizer in 2010.
