Company intelligence / Profile preview
i-CAT was a dental imaging and medical device company best known for its cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) systems used in dentistry and maxillofacial imaging. The brand was developed and commercialized by Imaging Sciences International, which manufactured computer-controlled dental and maxillofacial radiography products for general dentists and specialists. Its products were used for 3D imaging, diagnostics, and treatment planning across implantology, orthodontics, oral surgery, TMJ, and airway applications. Imaging Sciences International was acquired by Danaher in 2007, and the i-CAT brand is now marketed within the DEXIS dental imaging portfolio rather than operating as an independent company.
