PathXL (formerly i-Path Diagnostics) was a digital pathology company that developed software solutions for the management and analysis of digital slides. Founded as a spin-out from Queen's University Belfast, the company provided a web-based platform used by pathologists, researchers, and educators to view and share high-resolution images. Their technology included automated image analysis tools, particularly for oncology research and clinical trials. The company's products supported biobanking, education, and clinical workflow efficiency. In 2016, PathXL was acquired by Philips to strengthen its computational pathology and integrated diagnostics business.
