I-trax was a prominent provider of workplace health and wellness services, operating primarily through its subsidiary, CHD Meridian Healthcare. The company focused on managing on-site health clinics for large corporations, providing a range of services including primary care, occupational health, and pharmacy management. By delivering healthcare directly at the job site, I-trax helped employers control medical costs while improving employee access to care and wellness initiatives. In 2008, the company was acquired by Walgreens for approximately $278 million. This acquisition allowed Walgreens to significantly expand its employer-based healthcare services under its Take Care Health Systems brand.
