Bioeconomy For Change (B4C), formerly known as Pôle IAR, is the premier French competitiveness cluster dedicated to the bioeconomy. Founded in 2005 and headquartered in Barenton-Bugny, the organization federates over 500 members across the entire biomass value chain, including agricultural cooperatives, academic researchers, and industrial leaders. B4C supports the development of bio-based products and processes in sectors such as food, feed, bio-based chemicals, materials, and bioenergy, as well as high-value applications in cosmetics and pharmaceuticals. The cluster acts as an innovation accelerator, facilitating collaborative R&D projects and providing members with strategic market intelligence and funding support. Since its inception, it has supported more than 350 projects representing over 3 billion euros in total investment.
