Idogen

Idogen was a Swedish biotechnology company focused on developing tolerogenic cell therapies to prevent the immune system from attacking biological agents, transplanted organs, or the body's own cells. The company's lead program, IDO 8, was designed for patients with severe hemophilia A who had developed inhibitory antibodies against their factor VIII treatment. Its technology platform utilized a patient's own dendritic cells, treated with a proprietary inducer, to create a tolerance-inducing environment. Despite reaching clinical trials, the company filed for bankruptcy in June 2023 due to a lack of funding. The company's approach aimed to provide long-lasting treatment effects and reduce the need for immunosuppressive drugs.
