Ignis Asset Management was a prominent UK-based asset management firm headquartered in Glasgow, Scotland. It operated as the investment management arm of the Phoenix Group before being acquired by Standard Life Investments in 2014. The firm managed a wide range of investment products, including fixed income, equities, and real estate, for both institutional and retail clients. At the time of its acquisition, it managed approximately £59 billion in assets. Following the deal, its operations and personnel were integrated into Standard Life, which later became part of abrdn. The company is distinct from biotech entities with similar names, such as Ignis Therapeutics.
