Ignite Immunotherapeutics

Ignite Immunotherapeutics is a biotechnology company focused on the discovery and development of next-generation oncolytic virus therapies for the treatment of cancer. Founded in 2016, the company leverages a proprietary platform to engineer oncolytic viruses, primarily based on the vaccinia virus, designed to selectively kill cancer cells and stimulate a systemic anti-tumor immune response. The company's lead candidate, IGN-001, is an intravenously delivered oncolytic virus engineered for enhanced potency and safety. In 2016, Pfizer entered into a research collaboration and equity investment with Ignite to develop these novel immunotherapy agents.
