Company intelligence / Profile preview
ImmunoACT is an Indian biotechnology company that emerged from a collaborative effort between the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay and Tata Memorial Centre. The company specializes in the development and commercialization of indigenous CAR-T cell therapies, aiming to make these advanced treatments affordable for patients in India and other emerging markets. Their lead product, NexCAR19 (actalycabtagene autoleucel), is the first CAR-T cell therapy to receive market authorization in India for relapsed or refractory B-cell lymphomas and leukemia. The therapy utilizes a proprietary humanized single-chain antibody fragment (scFv) designed to improve safety and reduce the risk of cytokine release syndrome. ImmunoACT operates a state-of-the-art GMP manufacturing facility in Navi Mumbai to support the delivery of personalized cell therapies. The company is also expanding its pipeline to target other hematological malignancies, including multiple myeloma.
