Overview
Ikaika Therapeutics is a preclinical-stage private biotech developing first-in-class anti-fibrotic monoclonal antibodies targeting latent transforming growth factor beta binding protein 4 (LTBP4). Their lead antibody (IKN-001/IKN mAb) stabilizes the LTBP4–TGF-β complex, reduces TGF-β activation, decreases fibrosis, and improves muscle function in preclinical muscular dystrophy models, including published improvements in diaphragm fibrosis and breathing in Duchenne muscular dystrophy mice.[2][3][4]
