Ilika

Ilika is a UK-listed solid-state battery developer focused on miniature batteries for MedTech and larger-format cells for electric vehicle and consumer applications. The company originated as a University of Southampton spin-out and now develops, manufactures and licenses proprietary solid-state battery technology. Its healthcare-relevant product line is Stereax, a family of miniature solid-state batteries designed for active implantable medical devices and other miniaturized medical applications. Ilika's second platform, Goliath, targets electric vehicles, defence and cordless consumer electronics. The company operates as an active public company and commercializes through a mix of product supply, technology transfer, licensing and manufacturing partnerships, notably with Cirtec Medical for Stereax production.
