Imaging PET Technologies

Imaging PET Technologies (IPT) was a medical technology company and a subsidiary of Positron Corporation, established as a joint venture with Quantum Molecular Pharmaceuticals. The company specialized in the development and manufacturing of nuclear imaging devices, particularly Positron Emission Tomography (PET) systems, and automated radiopharmaceutical production technologies. IPT played a critical role in Positron's acquisition of IS2 Medical Systems, which integrated advanced cardiac imaging cameras like the PulseCDC into the company's portfolio. Its technology contributed to the development of the Attrius PET scanner, a dedicated cardiac imaging system, and the PosiRx automated radiopharmaceutical system. Although its primary manufacturing facility in Canada was closed in 2008, the entity's intellectual property and products remained central to Positron's molecular imaging solutions. The company's offerings were designed to provide cost-effective, high-accuracy diagnostic tools for cardiology, oncology, and neurology.
