Immunotherapy NANTibody is a joint venture established in 2014 by Sorrento Therapeutics and NantWorks to develop a portfolio of next-generation cancer immunotherapies. The company leverages Sorrento's G-MAB human antibody library alongside NantWorks' genomic and proteomic mapping technologies to discover and advance novel treatments. Its pipeline includes monoclonal antibodies, bispecifics, and antibody-drug conjugates targeting key checkpoints such as PD-1, PD-L1, and CTLA-4. The entity became the center of significant litigation involving allegations of a 'catch and kill' strategy regarding its lead asset, Cynviloq, a nanoparticle formulation of paclitaxel. Currently, the company operates as a subsidiary of ImmunityBio, which holds a majority stake. It remains focused on the convergence of immunotherapy and personalized medicine to address unmet needs in oncology and autoimmune diseases.
