Imperial Cancer Research Technologies

Imperial Cancer Research Technologies (ICRT) was the commercial development and technology transfer arm of the Imperial Cancer Research Fund (ICRF), a leading UK cancer charity. Established in 1982, ICRT was responsible for identifying, protecting, and licensing intellectual property generated by ICRF's extensive network of research laboratories. The company acted as a vital link between academic scientists and the global pharmaceutical industry, facilitating the translation of basic research into clinical applications. In 2002, ICRT merged with Cancer Research Campaign Technology to form Cancer Research Technology (CRT) as part of the creation of Cancer Research UK. Its historical contributions include the early development and licensing of significant oncology assets, such as the monoclonal antibodies that became Panitumumab and Cetuximab. Today, its operations are part of Cancer Research Horizons, continuing its mission to accelerate the development of new cancer treatments.
