Implantable Vision

Implantable Vision, Inc. was an ophthalmic medical device company specializing in the development and commercialization of advanced intraocular lenses (IOLs) for permanent vision correction. The company focused on phakic intraocular lenses, which are surgically implanted to correct refractive errors such as myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism while preserving the eye's natural crystalline lens. Established in 2006 through the restructuring of Baymark Technologies, the company acquired a significant portfolio of refractive lens patents and technology, including assets from CIBA Vision. In 2007, it was acquired by STAAR Surgical Company, a global leader in the refractive surgery market, which integrated the technology into its Visian ICL product line. Following the acquisition of STAAR Surgical by Alcon in 2025, the company's legacy technologies became part of Alcon's extensive vision care portfolio.
