Independent Healthcare Advisory Services

Independent Healthcare Advisory Services (IHAS) was a prominent UK-based trade association representing the interests of independent healthcare providers, including private hospitals, primary care clinics, and diagnostic centers. The organization served as a primary liaison between the private healthcare sector, the UK government, and regulatory bodies such as the Care Quality Commission (CQC). IHAS focused on establishing clinical standards, promoting best practices, and developing self-regulatory frameworks, most notably the 'Treatment You Can Trust' register for cosmetic injectables. It eventually transitioned to become the Independent Healthcare Providers Network (IHPN), operating under the umbrella of the NHS Confederation to represent all non-NHS providers of healthcare services.
