Independent Vetcare

Independent Vetcare is a UK-founded veterinary services company that built a large network of companion-animal veterinary practices, hospitals, and out-of-hours clinics. Founded in 2011, it expanded rapidly through acquisitions and practice partnerships in the UK before being acquired by EQT in December 2016. In 2017, Independent Vetcare combined with Sweden-based Evidensia to form IVC Evidensia, which has since grown into a major multinational veterinary care group. The original Independent Vetcare legal entity remained active for years and, according to UK Companies House, changed its name in March 2026 to Inspiring Vet Care Limited. The business is healthcare-related, but it is not a biotech or pharma drug-development company and does not have a conventional therapeutic pipeline.
