Indiana Centers for Applied Protein Sciences

Indiana Centers for Applied Protein Sciences (INCAPS) was a biotechnology service organization and research center located in Indianapolis, Indiana. Established in 2004 through a partnership between Indiana University and Purdue University, the center specialized in high-throughput proteomics and advanced mass spectrometry. INCAPS provided critical analytical services to pharmaceutical companies and academic researchers, focusing on biomarker discovery and protein characterization. The organization was a central pillar of the Indiana Genomics Initiative (INGEN) and was supported by the Lilly Endowment and state economic development funds. Despite its role in the regional life sciences ecosystem, the center ceased operations around 2011.
