Company intelligence / Profile preview
The Indiana Future Fund is a $73 million venture capital fund-of-funds established in 2003 to catalyze the life sciences ecosystem in Indiana. Formed through a collaboration of public and private entities, including Eli Lilly and Company and the Indiana Public Employees' Retirement Fund, the fund was designed to attract national venture capital firms to the region. It operates by investing in various venture capital funds that commit to evaluating and investing in Indiana-based life science, biotechnology, and healthcare technology opportunities. Managed by Credit Suisse's Customized Fund Investment Group (now part of Neuberger Berman), the fund has been instrumental in providing the capital infrastructure necessary to transition academic research into commercial enterprises. Its success led to the creation of successor vehicles, such as the INext Fund and the Indiana Seed Funds, under the BioCrossroads initiative.
