Indigenous Physicians Association of Canada

The Indigenous Physicians Association of Canada (IPAC) is a non-profit professional organization representing First Nations, Inuit, and Métis physicians and medical students across Canada. Founded in 1988, the association is dedicated to improving the health of Indigenous peoples by advocating for culturally safe healthcare and supporting the professional development of Indigenous medical practitioners. IPAC plays a critical role in medical education, working with Canadian medical schools to increase Indigenous representation and integrate Indigenous health perspectives into curricula. The organization also provides a network for mentorship and collaboration among Indigenous health professionals to address systemic health disparities.
