INDOX

Indox was a biotechnology company focused on the development of novel small molecule therapies for the treatment of cancer and inflammatory diseases. Spun out from the University of Oxford, the company primarily targeted the sensing of oxygen levels by cells and the regulation of inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS). Its research was based on the work of prominent scientists including Professor Peter Ratcliffe and Professor Shoumo Bhattacharya. Although the company was active in the early 2000s, it was eventually dissolved, with some of its intellectual property and research directions evolving into other ventures such as ReOx.
