Industrifinans Service was a Norwegian financial services and investment firm that served as a foundational incubator for the Norwegian biotechnology sector. Operating as part of the broader Industrifinans group, the company provided seed capital, management expertise, and administrative services to early-stage life science ventures. It is most recognized for its pivotal role in founding and developing Algeta, the radiopharmaceutical company later acquired by Bayer for $2.9 billion. Additionally, Industrifinans was instrumental in the early stages of other notable Norwegian biotechs, including PhotoCure and Nordic Nanovector. The firm's activities were eventually integrated into Formue (formerly Formuesforvaltning) following a series of corporate restructurings.
